MetaFund Investment Strategy
As Metalords, we are joining forces in a mission to conquer the metaverse. We will achieve this by using our MetaFund. The MetaFund will be initially funded through our LBE event and through the sale of Bonds.
On January 18 2022, we hosted the 1st DAO decision where the MetaLords community decided how the MetaFund will be used to purchase and invest in Metaverse Real Estate opportunities. The result was a balanced-out scenario where funds will be equally used to invest in long term stable and yield generation as well as leaving a small portion of the funds to invest in early-stage projects with high ROI potential.

Long term stable investments
As in traditional real estate, the purchase of land is a long-term play, where you buy into a property and wait for its appraisal. Since the Metaverse is in its early stage, there are lots of growth potential in purchasing land and other metaverse real estate spaces. The goal of this investments is to create a stable backup value for the $MLORD token while at the same time having the growth potential to increase its value on the long term.
This includes but is not limited to purchasing and holding Land & NFTS.
Yield generators
To achieve stability and continue offering high yield rewards for stakers as well as attracting more investors, the goal of this investments is to generate passive income that will be used to increase our treasury. This will also allow us to do buybacks & burns therefore increasing the Risk-Free Value and the backup price of the $MLORD token.
This includes but is not limited to purchasing & managing metaverse real estate for advertising, leasing, staking, & renting.
Higher risk investments
From great risk comes great reward, investing in higher risk project could achieve huge returns for $MLORD token holders, therefore a small percentage of the MetaFund will be used to invest in early-stage projects. Also, the difference from this investment category to the other ones, is that it includes investing into tokens not just metaverse real estate.
This includes but it’s not limited to pre-sales, IDOs and seed rounds.
In Which projects will MetaLords DAO use the MetaFund?
In short words, the DAO will decide.
Studies have shown that the collective decision of a group can be more accurate than any individual’s decision, therefore we will leverage the wisdom of crowds by making these decisions as a community and a true DAO. Anyone interested in contributing to the protocol will be able to become a MetaLord Explorer. Explorers have the task of exploring the metaverse in the search of investment opportunities. Once they find a good opportunity, they can make an investment proposal. The MetaLords Conquest Council will filter and select the best proposals which will then be presented to the MetaLords DAO who will vote and decide where to invest the funds.
The MetaLord Explorer role will be incentivized with a 3% commission on the profits generated after the investment is sold back to the market. You can read more about this role on this article.
MetaFund Profit Distribution
The goal of our MetaFund is simple, “create value and generate profits for our token holders”. Therefore, whenever there are profits from the MetaFund investments, a large portion will go directly to our token holders. We believe this will incentivize long term holders.
On January 23 2022 we hosted our 2nd DAO decision where the MetaLords DAO community decided how the MetaFund profits. It is important to mention that there is a 3% portion of profits reserved for the MetaLord Explorer who proposed the investment opportunity, which applies once the investment is sold back to the market and 7% reserved for continued development of the protocol. Therefore, the distribution is for the remaining 90% of the profits. The result of the 2nd DAO decision is as follows:
1. 40% — Token Holders
2. 30% — Reserve Treasury
3. 30% —MetaFund Treasury
The profits will be claimable in stable coin or AVAX.
In order to prevent the sell pressure on the $MLORD token, holders will be able to claim their profit share in stable coin or AVAX. This will help protect the value of our token. It is important to take into account that the more tokens you hold the higher your profit share will be, therefore if anyone is interested in increasing their profit share, they will need to purchase more tokens from the market or stake and create bonds which will further help in achieving an everlasting success of the protocol.
